Description/Interesting Notes: An amazing, old time example of native copper from the Urals!!! This old, 19th century specimen hosts an incredible showing of native copper crystals on matrix!!! The native copper crystals are present as discreet, octahedral crystals richly distributed across the face of the specimen!!! There is some cuprite present on the specimen as well and it is conceivable that these razor-sharp octahedral crystals are possible copper pseudomorphs after cuprite!!! The crystals are simply outstanding, and quite unique, for native copper!!! There are numerous crystals that stand alone as isolated octahedral crystals prominently perched on the matrix!!! This is truly an outstanding and utterly unique old time specimen!!! This specimen retains an old, 19th century label as well!!! The pics don't even come close to doing this specimen justice!!!
