Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific example of native copper in calcite from Michigan!!! This specimen consists of a sharp, lustrous calcite crystal that hosts rich inclusions of native copper as well as some prominent areas of exposed native copper and minor epidote!!! The calcite crystals have sharp, lustrous faces and marked clarity!!! Although there are some minor cleavage faces, the specimen displays magnificently all around!!! Upon close inspection, one can see some areas of bright red cuprite included within the calcite as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
