A magnificent example of native copper in selenite from Arizona!!! The examples of selenite included with native copper from this locality have
long been prized by collectors and this is a particularly fine specimen!!! Usually these specimens are encountered as thin, damaged cleaves of selenite
with sparse inclusions of native copper - however this specimen consists of a portion of finely crystallized selenite that is loaded with fine, brilliant
native copper crystals within!!! The selenite has sharp crystal faces with marked luster and fine, gem clarity all the way through!!! The
internal copper inclusions are very finely crystallized and have particularly bright metallic copper color and luster!!! The
dense network of copper crystals are actually oriented and gradually increase in density from the bottom up - giving them the appearance of
some kind of intricate, other-worldly metallic plant life!!! This is a very bright and showy specimen!!! Simply gorgeous in person!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
