This specimen consists of a highly complex, etched, floater crystal of gem cordierite that exhibits INTENSE and DRAMATIC pleochroic color change!!! The crystal shows a rich deep blue color when viewed at one angle and a pale straw-yellow to clear at the opposing angle!!! Depending on the exact angle one can see a variety of hues simultaneously and the effect is quite dazzling in person!!! This is an extremely choice example of this unique gem species!!! The pleochroic color change is simply extraordinary!!! The specimen has complex, lustrous crystalline features and displays magnificently in person!!!
