Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of this rare gem species!!! This specimen consists of a solid mass of gemmy cordierite!!! In person this specimen exhibits the intense, pronounced pleochroism that is so characteristic of this species!!! This specimen has yellowish color when viewed through one axis, bluish through another, and purplish through yet another axis!!! The change in color is quite pronounced and dramatic in person!!! The pictures don't even come close to capturing just how impressive it is in person!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
