A terrific old time example of pink sapphire/ruby from North Carolina!!! This specimen consists of a single crystal of light pink sapphire that
exhibits a fascinating pattern of concentric rings as well as a flashing chatoyance!!! The crystal appears to have been cut (although under magnification they appear to be possibly natural?) to
show off this attractive feature!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
This specimen is from the Albert Peppis Collection and retains its original label!!! We just recently acquired the lifelong collection
of Albert Peppis and will be posting detailed information about both him and the collection to our "About Me" page - so be sure to check it out!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
