An unusual example of corundum from Japan!!! This specimen hosts a group of corundum crystals that have thick, outer coating of an unidentified pale
green mineral!!! The matrix is loaded with tiny metallic graphite crystals as well!!! The corundum crystals have sharp, flat terminations and appear to possibly have
some chatoyance!!! The unidentified green mineral is very slightly translucent and relatively soft!!! A unique corundum specimen from a seldom
referenced locale!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
