Description/Interesting Notes: A classic, old time example of covellite and pyrite from Sardinia!!! This specimen consists of a brilliantly metallic, iridescent plate of covellite that hosts numerous characteristically flattened crystals of golden metallic pyrite!!! The covellite exhibits an intense blue, purple, and magenta metallic brilliance that is quite showy when combined with the sharp, geometric forms of the sharp brassy-golden pyrite crystals!!! This is classic, old time material that likely dates to the early 1900's!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
