Description/Interesting Notes: A classic example of covellite from Butte!!! This specimen consists of a dense, thick mass of intensely iridescent covellite crystals in association with a small amount of pyrite!!! The covellite is unusually dense and solid throughout!!! The covellite exhibits absolutely choice, brilliant metallic iridescence with blue-purple on one side and magenta-purple on the reverse!!! This specimen retains old labels from Ward's as well!!!
