Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent, old time example of covellite from Colorado!!! This specimen hosts numerous brilliantly metallic, iridescent purple-blue crystals of covellite set in hard matrix!!! This specimen hosts numerous complete, razor sharp, hexagonal crystals of covellite in prominent display!!! Covellite is rarely seen in complete, sharp crystals!!! The purple-blue iridescence is quite striking indeed!!! Upon close examination, one can see pronounced hexagonal striations on the crystal faces!!!! This specimen retains an old label from Richard V.
