Description/Interesting Notes:
A classic, old time example of covellite from this historic locale!!! This specimen consists of a handsome grouping of densely
intergrown covellite crystals in association with numerous golden pyrite crystals!!! The covellite crystals are unusually thick and
have gorgeous, bright, iridescent blue and purple metallic luster!!! The hexagonal form of the crystals can clearly be seen in
numerous areas and there are several complete crystals present as well!!! The pyrite crystals are present as unusually
compressed crystals scattered across the faces of the covellite crystals - a characteristic feature of the locality!!! This
specimen came from the collection of Thomas J. Campbell, co-author of Encyclopedia of Minerals!!! Classic old time material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MAY 10th!!!
