Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of covellite from Butte!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of quartz crystals that hosts a prominently perched group of bladed covellite crystals!!! The covellite crystals have brassy-golden metallic luster with iridescent purple highlights!!! The covellite crystals exhibit characteristic bladed habits with defined hexagonal crystal blades!!! The quartz crystals are sharp and lustrous and the covellite crystals are prominent and showy!!! A classic Butte combo!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
