Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic, old time example of covellite from this classic Italian locality!!! This specimen consists of a showy cluster of thick, bladed covellite crystals in aesthetic association with golden pyrite crystals!!! The covellite crystals have intense, brilliant blue and purple metallic iridescence!!! There are some sharply defined crystalline features and striated faces present!!! The pyrite crystals are present as sharp, complex cubo-octahedral crystals with bright metallic luster!!! This is classic, old time material that dates prior to WWII!!!
