Description/Interesting Notes: A rare, old time example of covellite with chalcopyrite from Missouri!!! Covellite is very rare from this locality!!! This specimen consists of a mass of brilliant, golden chalcopyrite with numerous cavities and vugs that host numerous brilliant, iridescent blue, bladed crystals of covellite!!! Although the crystals are small, they are quite brilliant and impressive for their size and are simply fantastic for the locality!!! This specimen retains an old label from David New that mentions their rarity as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer!!!
