Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of covellite from Butte!!! This specimen consists hosts a cluster of very well formed crystals of covellite prominently perched atop the quartz matrix in association with some pyrite!!! The crystals have lively purple-blue metallic iridescence that is much more significant than the pics show!!! The crystals are sharp and well formed!!! The pics hardly capture just how fine this specimen is!!! This specimen retains old labels from Ward's and the Cilen collection as well!!!
