Crocoite

Callenberg, Glauchau, Saxony, Germany

5.56cm x 4.63cm x 3.54cm

Ex. Dr. Klose Collection No. 1615

Description/Interesting Notes:

A classic, old time example of crocoite from Germany!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of intensely colored crocoite!!! This specimen hosts sharp, well formed crystals of crocoite on nearly every side!!! The crystals have intense red-orange color and exhibit stout, highly complex forms characteristic of this historic locality!!! These old time German crocoites are date back to the late 1800's!!! This specimen retains an old label from German mineralogist Dr. Klose (this specimen came out of the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum, however it was never catalogued)!!! This specimen displays fantastically in person!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JANUARY 26th!!!
