Description/Interesting Notes: A rare, old time example of cryolite with marmatite from Russia!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of intergrown marmatite sphalerite crystals in association with cryolite!!! The contrast is quite handsome, and upon close inspection one can find areas of crystalline cryolite among the cavities!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! This specimen retains Dr. Weller's label and notes that this is an old 19th century specimen from this historic Russian locality!!!
