Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely incredible example of cryolite from Greenland!!! This specimen consists of an extraordinarily well-crystallized example of cryolite!!! Crystallized examples of cryolite are very rare and usually only amount to a few tiny crystal faces here and there, however this specimen boasts a broad face covered with large and showy cryolite crystal faces!!! This specimen hosts large, lustrous and gemmy crystals up to 1cm!!! The faces are so pronounced because there was a small degree of etching that took place that further defined the crystals, making for a stunning display indeed!!! The crystal faces show numerous complex features as a result, however the faces are sharply defined, geometric, and highly lustrous!!! This is a truly exceptional example of species!!! Easily one of the most impressive cryolite specimens I have ever seen!!! This incredible specimen needs to be seen in person to be fully apprecitated!!!
