Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent example of cubanite from this seldom referenced locale!!! This specimen consists of a handsome cluster of highly complex calcite crystals in association with sharp, brilliantly metallic, golden crystals of cubanite!!! The cubanite crystals range in size to over .5cm!!! The main cubanite crystal exhibits the sharply defined cyclic twinning that the species is so famous for!!! The calcite crystals have marked translucence and luster and actually show highly complex features upon close inspection!!! This is a particularly fine example of the species from this locality!!! This specimen is in fantastic condition and displays magnificently in person!!! This specimen is from the lifelong personal collection of Frank & Wendy Melanson!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
