Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of these rare and sought after species from Mexico!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of large, sharp
boleite crystals that hosts a group of intergrown cumengeite crystals in association!!! The boleite crystals exhibit
sharp cubic form with glassy luster, marked clarity, and rich intense deep blue color!!! The cumengeite crystals exhibit characteristic
twinning, with sharp pyramidal forms jutting out in several directions!!! The cumengeite crystals have glassy luster, marked clarity, and
intense blue color - that is slightly brighter than the boleite crystals (in person the color difference is notable)!!! The cumengeite
crystals have slightly etched features upon close inspection and are much more three dimensional than the pictures show!!! There
is a lot going on with this specimen, and it is difficult to appreciate in the pics - however it is quite showy and impressive in person!!! Simply
a fantastic example of both species, with significant size for each!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY APRIL 5th!!!
