Cuprian Smithsonite on Mimetite with Duftite Tsumeb, Namibia 3.46cm x 3.2cm x 2.63cm Ex. Tony Nikischer Collection

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic combination of species from Tsumeb!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of thick, chunky hexagonal crystals of mimetite that are richly covered by light blue green, rice-grain crystals of cuprian smithsonite in association with rich green microcrystals of duftite!!! All three species are very well crystallized and the specimen is quite three-dimensional in person!!! One half of the mimetite crystals are almost completely covered with smithsonite crystals with only their silhouette visible underneath while the other half shows sharply formed hexagonal crystals of mimetite that host smithsonite and duftite crystals scattered across their surfaces!!! The specimen is in fantastic condition and quite showy in person!!! Old material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
