Description/Interesting Notes:
A terrific example of cuprite from the recent find in Russia!!! This specimen consists of a large, compound octahedral cuprite crystal in association with
native copper and native silver!!! The crystal consists of a large, compound octahedral crystal with sharp complex faces!!! The crystal is incomplete on the
reverse, but as you can see it still displays quite strikingly!!! This specimen actually exhibits some partial alteration to native copper, and native copper
can be seen peeking out of the cuprite in some areas!!! One half of the specimen hosts networks of tiny octahedral faces while the other half has broad, lustrous
faces and flashes of deep red within!!! There is also a complex stringer of crystalline native silver that is perched near a prominent showing of
native copper as well!!! The pics say it all!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
