An outstanding example of cuprite and native silver from the recent find in Russia!!! This specimen consists of a
showy cluster of razor-sharp, lustrous, and complete octahedral cuprite crystals in association with rich showing of
very fine, dendritic crystals of native silver in addition to some native silver!!!
The cuprite crystals have characteristic dark color but have
numerous red highlights and areas of deep red flash within!!! The native silver exhibits a complex, very fine
dendritic habit that is likely pseudomorphic after miersite or another halide (Upon close inspection with a loupe
or scope, one can see a few masses that have crude subhedral forms)!!! There is also some native copper poking out of the cuprite - the very
beginning of native copper pseudomorphing the cuprite!!! This is a killer example of cuprite and
native silver from this amazing find (which is no doubt a future classic!)!!! Don't miss out on this showy and valuable specimen!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
