Description/Interesting Notes:
An incredible example of cuprite and malachite from Cornwall!!! This specimen consists of a fantastic cluster of sharply cubic
cuprite crystals that have been completely covered by malachite with some calcite in association as well!!!
This specimen is much more three dimensional and sharply cubic than the pics show!!! Upon close inspection, one can see that
there are some small, somewhat translucent calcite crystals in association as well!!! While this specimen might at first appear
to be a pseudomorph, it is a coating of malachite on cuprite crystals - however it does appear that there may be some minor alteration in areas!!!
This is a truly outstanding specimen from Cornwall!!! This specimen came from the collection of Howard Belsky!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY APRIL 12th!!!
