Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of cuprite from Tsumeb!!! This speicmen hosts a rich showing of lustrous, dark red crystals of cuprite prominently perched on matrix!!! The crystals are present as sharp octahedrons as well as highly complex, compound crystals comprised of numerous tiny octahedral faces!!! The crystals are complete and undamaged!!! With significant lighting the crystals show a lively red glow from within as well!!! Classic material!!! This specimen is from the lifelong personal collection of Frank & Wendy Melanson!!!
