A unique example of cuprite and related copper-bearing species from Madagascar!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of
deep reddish cuprite in association with a significant showing of chrysocolla, malachite, native copper and azurite on a
basalt matrix!!! There are two vugs of botryoidal chrysocolla that have attractive light blue color and there are
significant areas of massive bluish green and green chrysocolla!!! The native copper can be seen as
masses poking out from the copper and exposed in other areas as well!!! There are numerous areas of radiating, fibrous
green malachite crystals present throughout the speciemen!!! Upon close inspection one can
see that the azurite is present as groups of somewhat radiating,
intergrown crystals embedded within the other associated species!!! You simply do not see
specimens like this from Madagascar!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
