Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of cuprite from this classic locale!!! This specimen hosts a gorgeous group of sharp, octahedral crystals of cuprite in association with a small amount of turquoise colored matrix!!! The cuprite crystals are particularly fine, with outstanding bright glassy luster, razor sharp faces, and marked clarity!!! The crystals have characteristic deep red color and with adequate lighting the crystals light up with ruby red color!!! With the exception of the bottom, the crystals are complete all around!!! The crystals are in fantastic condition and displays magnificently in person!!! This specimen is from the lifelong personal collection of Frank & Wendy Melanson!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
