Native Copper pseudomorph after Cuprite Chessy-les-Mines, Rhône, Rhône-Alpes, France 1.18cm x 1.16cm x 1.01cm

Description/Interesting Notes: An incredible, old time example of native copper after cuprite from this historic French locality!!! This specimen consists of a sharp, compound octahedral crystal of cuprite that has been completely pseudomorphed to native copper!!! There is also a thin layer of malachite/copper secondaries in association as well!!! The crystal exhibits classic form for the locality and is complete all around!!! An unsusual, and rare, native copper pseudomorph from a locality much better known for its classic malachite pseudomorphs after cuprite!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
