Cuprite with Malachite Eureka District, Eureka Co., Nevada 4.45cm x 3.63cm x 2.25cm Ex. A. E. Seaman Mineral Museum #4016

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic old time example of cuprite from Nevada!!! This specimen is comprised almost entirely of deep red cuprite in association with lively green malachite!!! The cuprite host numerous vugs of cubic crystals and complexly crystalline surfaces!!! There is much more crystalline cuprite present than it appears in the pictures!!! The crystals are sharp and lustrous and have rich red color with lots of internal flashes of intense ruby red!!! The malachite has gorgeous bright green color and there is a small vug of unusually well formed malachite crystals!!! This specimen is WAY better than the pictures show!!! This is OLD material that likely dates to the early 1900's!!! This specimen is from the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum and retains its original museum label and affixed catalog number!!!
