Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of cuprite from this classic locality!!! This specimen hosts a razor-sharp crystal of deep red, GEM cuprite prominently perched on a calcite crystal matrix!!! The cuprite crystal exhibits a complex, octahedral habit with razor-sharp faces and bright glassy luster!!! The cuprite crystal exhibits some modified faces and highly complex features but is complete all around!!! The cuprite crystal is partially exposed on the reverse as well - allowing one to see that this is a GEM crystal of cuprite!!! The ruby red color is much more significant and brighter than the pics show!!! Simply gorgeous in person!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
