Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of cuprite from the Congo!!! This specimen hosts a pristine, gemmy, 1cm crystal of deep red cuprite prominently perched on matrix in association with some calcite!!! The crystal has sharp, lustrous faces and an attractive octahedral habit with cubo-octahedral modifications!!! There is a minor amount of green malachite in association as well!!! The crystal has marked clarity and intense, deep red color!!! The crystal is complete and undamaged!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
