Description/Interesting Notes: A classic example of cuprite from Bisbee!!! This specimen consists of a rich cluster of complex, cubic crystals of cuprite!!! The crystals consist of complex groups of cubic crystals that have rich red color and showy flashes of ruby red within!!! The cubic crystals have some highly complex features and curious modifications like stepped edges or repeating forms!!! There is some native copper that serves as a matrix for the crystals and there appears to be a thin, partial coating of malachite alteration in areas as well!!! This specimen is way better than the pics show!!! Classic material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
