Description/Interesting Notes:
A unique and aesthetic example of native copper and calcite from Tsumeb!!! This striking combination specimen consists of a lustrous
cluster of complex calcite crystals that is partially included with rich green malachite and hosts numerous complex crystals of native copper pseudomorphs after
cuprite!!! The calcite crystals are in magnificent condition with sharp, lustrous faces and marked clarity!!!
The green, malachite included calcite is present as a broad circle in the
center of the specimen and makes for an eye-catching specimen indeed!!! The complex clusters of native copper crystals are liberally scattered across the surface of the
specimen and, upon close inspection, one can see that these are actually complex pseudomorphs of native copper after cuprite (these pseudomorphs have also made small "halos" of cuprite that are
actually included in the calcite just below - they are not surface stains!)!!! This specimen is in magnificent condition and displays fantastically in person!!! The
pics don't even come close to doing this unique beauty justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MAY 5th!!!
