Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of native copper with cuprite from the new find in Russia!!! This specimen consists of a sharply crystallized example of
native copper that hosts several sharp crystals of cuprite!!! The copper has sharp, complex faces and a wonderful patina with brilliant luster!!! The
cuprite crystals exhibit all manner of complex features, including numerous areas where the crystals are partially pseudomorphed to native copper!!! Upon
close inspection, one can see tiny, submillimeter crystals of native silver on the surfaces of the native copper surrounding the cuprite crystals!!! In addition, there
are tiny crystals of native silver present on, and embedded within, some of the cuprite crystals as well!!! There is a large, partially altered
cuprite crystal on the reverse as well, that has partially altered to a curious, grayish unidentified mineral!!! This specimen is way better than the pictures show, and is
quite showy in person!!! The pics don't even come close to doing it justice!!!
