An incredible, old time example of this rare uranium bearing species from the Congo!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of intense
orange-red curite in association with lively green torbernite and bright yellow soddyite!!! This specimen is quite dense and hefty for
its size!!! The curite is present both as dense, compact massive material as well as veins of intergrown crystals!!! The curite crystals
have characteristic acicular form and there is more crystalline present than it appears in the pics!!! The torbernite is present
as dense green masses as well as scattered crystals embedded in yellow soddyite!!! The soddyite is present as bright yellow massive material and
subhedral crystalline grains!!! This specimen has incredible color in person - it is VERY intense and showy!!!
What is even more impressive is that this old time specimen retains a custom box made entirely of lead!!! This specimen
retains old labels from Ward's and the Case Institute of Technology as well!!! Rare old time material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
