Description/Interesting Notes:
An absolutely incredible combination of these rare uranium-bearing species from the
type locale!!! This specimen consists of a large mass of solid, intergrown layers of
curite, soddyite, kasolite, and torbernite, with crystals of each species on the surface!!!
Each species is represented quite well in its crystalline form, and the combination of
rich, intense colors is simply stunning in person!!! The curite crystals consist of fine, bright
reddish-orange, acicular crystals; the soddyite crystals consist of small, yellow,
euhedral crystals; the torbernite crystals are present both as square-shaped blades, and
almost pearlescent, light green dustings; the kasolite is present as sprays of stout,
bright orange-yellow prismatic crystals!!! This specimen is surprisingly dense and
heavy, weighing a hefty 510 grams (just over a half of a kilo!)!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
