Cyanotrichite

Mackay District (Alder Creek District; White Knob District), Custer Co., Idaho

9.2cm x 7.9cm x 5.2cm

Ex. A. J. Beres Collection No. 53

Description/Interesting Notes:

A classic, old time example of cyanothrichite from Idaho!!! This specimen consists of a vuggy limonitic matrix that hosts numerous protected vugs lined with intense, bright blue acicular crystals of cyanotrichite!!! There are significant showings of cyanotrichite on every side of the specimen and it could easily be trimmed to reveal more or split into several specimens!!! In addition to the cyanotrichite, there is some minor azurite and malachite as well as some possible unidentified rarities!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Rare, old time material!!! This specimen is from the A.J. Beres collection and retains an antique dealer label as well!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 16th!!!
