Danalite with Smoky Quartz Sawtooth Batholith/Sawtooth Mts, Idaho 3.05cm x 2.1cm x 1.56cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A rare example of danalite from Idaho!!! This specimen hosts a complex single crystal of dark red danalite on matrix in association with some smoky quartz crystals!!! Danalite is rather rare in and of itself, however I have never seen such an example from Idaho!!! The danalite crystal exhibits complexly etched features but is complete and undamaged!!! The smoky quartz crystals seem to exhibit some highly complex features as well!!! This specimen came out of an old cache of specimens that came from the AMNH to a prominent New York area dealer years ago and retains a catalogued perky box as well!!! Rare material!!!
