Description/Interesting Notes:
A superb example of this rare species from Canada!!! This species is commonly seen as tiny, millimeter
sized crystals or tufts of tiny, fragile acicular crystals - however this specimen consists of a large and
impressive compound crystal of this rare species!!! This specimen consists of a large compound crystal of dawsonite
in association with several other intergrown compound crystals!!! The compound crystals are essentially large single crystals similar
in form to the beryllonite crystals that come from Paprok, Afghanistan!!! The dawsonite crystals have glassy luster and
are much more sharply defined than it appears in the pics!!! The broad face of the specimen hosts some minute, colorless
fluorite crystals and some small, unidentified pale yellow crystals!!!
The specimen is in fantastic condition all around!!! Simply an outstanding example of the rare species from this unique locale!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MARCH 29th!!!
