Deerite with Pyrite Laytonville quarry, Laytonville, Mendocino Co., California 9.6cm x 4.56cm x 4cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of this rare species from the type locality from California!!! This specimen is almost entirely comprised of intergrown sprays and lathes of lustrous black deerite crystals!!! The deerite is quite well crystallized and there are numerous prominent sprays throughout!!! There are also several small elongated pyrite crystals in association as well as some small patches of an unidentified, fine grained medium green unknown!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
