Description/Interesting Notes: A classic example of demantoid garnet from Italy!!! This specimen consists of a dense mass of asbestiform "mountain leather" that hosts a single, gem crystal of demantoid garnet!!! The garnet is complete and undamaged with complex, glassy faces!!! The crystal appears to have a curious, almost twinned habit that is quite intuiging in person!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
