Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific example of demantoid garnet from California!!! This specimen consists of a portion of serpentine matrix that hosts numerous lustrous crystals of lively mint to lime green crystals of demantoid garnet in association with deep green crystals of clinochlore!!! Although the crystals do not appear to be very colorful in these pictures - in person they have a very lively green color that is best described as a minty lime green!!! WAY, WAY better than the pics show!!! This specimen retains Ken Hogan's original label as well!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
