Description/Interesting Notes:
A unique and unusual diamond crystal twin from this historic locale!!! This specimen
consists of a sharp, complex macle twin diamond crystal!!! The crystal has bright gem clarity and
brilliant adamantine luster!!! The internal play of light is quite dynamic in person!!! The crystal has particularly
fine bright "white" color that is also quite handsome as well!!! The crystal is complete, pristine, and undamaged all around (any areas
that might appear to be damage in the pics are actually complex crystalline features)!!!
The crystal shows pronounced, sharply defined macle twinning with some complex modifications!!! The crystal has very
slightly rounded features on the edges however upon close inspection with a loupe or a scope one can see that these features are
comprised of tiny yet sharp faces as well!!! The luster has classic adamantine brilliance!!! This specimen is from an impressive
suite of diamond crystals (within the Mecke Collection) that showed particularly unique, rare, or unusual features!!! This is
a magnificently twinned crystal with striking features all around!!! The crystal has fine gem clarity
throughout with a small darkly colored graphite crystal included within as well!!! This specimen
is WAY better than the pics show!!! Simply incredible in person - very bright, gemmy, and fiery!!!
The crystal is complete and pristine all around!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen
in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the
collection of Tony Nikischer!!! We just acquired the 6000+ specimen PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer and
there are going to be some very exciting minerals to come in the upcoming days and weeks!!! Prior to the Nikischer
collection this specimen was originally from the collection of Florence Mecke (acquired from the late 1930's until the 1970's)!!!
