Description/Interesting Notes:
A very rare, natural and faceted example of gem diamond from COLORADO!!! This is a pair of gem diamonds consisting of a natural gem crystal and a
finely faceted gemstone!!! The natural diamond crystal consits of a sharp octahedral crystal with some complexly modified features!!! The
natural crystal has brilliant luster, gemmy clarity, and measures 3.2mm!!! The faceted gemstone is very finely cut and is a very lively gem indeed - in person
it is surprisingly flashy for its size!!! This pair retains a detailed label (that fits the mount if so desired) from the previous dealer as well as an acrylic showbox
and mount!!! This was one of just
two such pairs - one of which was acquired by the Colorado School of Mines and the other by us!!! Fine examples of Colorado diamonds are quite scarce, and
natural crystal/faceted sets are virtually unheard of!!! The pics hardly do this rare pair of Colorado gems justice!!!
STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY FEBRUARY 10th!!!
**We have just returned from the annual Gem & Mineral Show in Tucson, Arizona!!! Be sure to stay tuned as we will be listing our exciting acquisitions throughout the next coming weeks!!!***
