Description/Interesting Notes:
A terrific example of this famed gem species from South Africa!!! This specimen consists
pristine, octahedral diamond crystal!!! This specimen exhibits classic octahedral form with attractive slightly rounded faces,
brilliant luster, gem clarity, and a well formed graphite crystal inclusion!!!
This specimen is bright and fiery in person!!! the graphite crystal inclusion cannot be seen when viewed on edge, however when
viewed head-on one can see that this is actually a thin, tabular crystal of graphite!!! In addition to the pronounced graphite crystal, there
is a tiny bit of additional graphite present that appears to intersect it!!! When viewed with a scope or a loupe it is quite
fascinating indeed!!! This specimen is from an old lot of diamond crystals that came out of the Seaman Museum!!!
Classic old time Kimberley material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
