Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic, old time example of diamond on matrix from Sierra Leone!!! Examples of diamond on matrix are quite rare indeed!!! This specimen hosts a highly complex single diamond crystal prominently perched on a conglomerate concretion!!! The crystal has a dark, greenish color with highly complex features and bright, adamantine luster!!! Upon close examination, one can see an overall cubic form with complex octahedral and dodecahedral modifications!!! Matrix diamond specimens are very rare and highly sought after by collectors!!! This specimen is unrepaired and completely natural!!! Old time material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer!!!
