Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific, old time example of diaphorite from Nevada!!! This specimen consists of a matrix of quartz, rhodochrosite, and alabandite that hosts a significant showing of sivery-gray metallic diaphorite and pyrargyrite!!! The diaphorite is present as a network of masses and microcrystalline areas of diaphorite scattered throughout the matrix, as well as some tiny areas of crystalline material as well!!! The pyrargyrite is present in a similar fashion, with scattered masses and a few tiny crystalline areas as well!!! Upon close inspection one can see tiny flashes of red in the pyrargyrite!!! This specimen is from the personal collection of Bob Jenkins and retains his original personal collection label as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
