Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely incredible example of diaspore from this historic Massachusetts locality!!! This specimen consists of a pair of intersecting crystals of light, lavender purple colored crystals of diaspore in association with a small amount of matrix!!! The crystals are sharp, glassy, and gemmy!!! However, the most notable feature is that the main crystal has sharply defined terminal faces!!! The diaspore crystals from this classic New England locality are almost always massive and hopelessly intergrown, with terminated crystals being very rare!!! This is simply an incredible example of Chester diaspore!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
