Description/Interesting Notes: A unique, old time example of dioptase from Arizona!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of deep, emerald green dioptase in association with colorless calcite crystals and tiny yellow-green andradite garnet crystals!!! The dioptase crystals are present as rounded groups of intergrown prismatic crystals closely associated with complex calcite crystals!!! There are numerous tiny crystals of yellow green andradite garnet crystals scattered visible around the periphery of the calcite and dioptase crystals - in fact the entire matrix is comprised of fine-grained and intergrown crystals of andradite garnet!!! Very showy specimen in person!!! Old material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
