Djurleite with Pyrite Butte, Butte District, Silver Bow Co., Montana 3.33cm x 3cm x 1.62cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent example of this very rare species from Butte!!! Djurleite is a very rare relative of chalcocite and well crystallized examples from Butte are quite scarce indeed!!! This specimen consists of a very well formed group of highly complex djurleite crystals on a pyrite crystal matrix!!! The crystals are present broad, extremely complex plates with dark grayish metallic luster!!! It is difficult to appreciate from the pics, however this is a magnificent example of the species and is WAY better than the pictures show!!! The crystals are much more complete and have incredibly complex crystalline features throughout!!! The specimen is much more three-dimensional than it appears in the pics as well!!! Simply an amazing example of this very rare Butte species!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
